Something I’ve never noticed before:
Snape not only deflects McGonagall’s attack but uses it to take down Alecto and Amycus in a single armwave behind his visual field. Like they both had their wands out too but BOY they did not see that coming. Snape knew that he needed to get rid of them before being driven out of the castle so that they wouldn’t harm any of the students GOD what a badass motherfucker

always

In Which I Make an Announcement

Hi, I’m Kristen, and since picking a life direction is a thing I have to do, I am now an officially declared course 16 major. I’ll be studying aeronautical and astronautical engineering.

[i mean they made me declare and we’ll see how long it lasts because i suck at life decisions and taking unified is going to be not awesome but really though i’m excited because YEAH BITCHES SPACE]

I’ve been waiting for this.

On Lockdown

he’s caught and we’re not in a state of emergency anymore and I’m not going to write about last night because I don’t want to but thank you, thank you so much for all the phone calls and texts and messages from people who care about me and everyone here.

Boston is crazy strong and I’m again I’m feeling just so proud to be a part of this community. The Green Building now shows a black ribbon to honor all those lost, and especially Sean Collier, who gave his life protecting us.

Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light. :)

Years ago, administration allowed the tallest building on MIT campus to have lights installed in the bottom of all the windows to display an American flag as a gesture of hope after 9/11. What administration didn’t realize is students also set up all the lights to have a full range of color optons and be controlled by a separate server, so since then the Green Building has lit up a couple times on memorable occasions as a massive game of tetris, pong, and even a one-pixel Mario game that students could come by and play on one of the largest outdoor screens ever. But last night I walked past and turned to take this picture. The flag is back, and it’s visible from nearly the whole Boston waterfront, and it’s almost directly across from the attack site and it’s my favorite.
